Applesauce Bread

Ingredients : 

- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

- 1/3 cup butter, softened

- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

- 1 1/2 cups smooth, thick applesauce

- 2 eggs

- 1 cup quick-cooking oats

- 1 cup chopped walnuts

Method :

Gather the ingredients of Applesauce Bread. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or coat with cooking spray.  In a large bowl, combine the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg; set aside. 
Cream butter and sugar with an electric beater in a large mixing bowl. Thoroughly beat in applesauce and eggs.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and blend well. Stir in oats and nuts. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.Bake until bread is golden brown and tests done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes. Allow to cool in pan about 15 minutes. Remove from pan, and let cool completely on a wire rack.

Slice and serve!
